GALLIA COUNTY, OH (WOWK) — A former Ohio substitute teacher and cheerleading coach pleaded guilty on Monday to child sex crimes, according to the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office.
Michal “Paige” Huck on Monday pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of sexual battery, according to the GCSO. They said Michal “Paige” Huck was indicted on Aug. 9, 2023, on six counts of third-degree unlawful sexual misconduct with a minor.
5th, 6th lawsuits filed against Gallia County school district over sexual abuse allegations
Deputies said the incidents happened between 2003 and 2016 and the victims were teenagers attending Gallia County Local Schools. These students were also involved with a wrestling team coached by Huck’s former husband, Matthew Huck. He pleaded not guilty to charges back in April.
Multiple lawsuits have been filed against the Gallia County Local School District Board of Education and GCLSD employees and administrators regarding the sexual abuse allegations.
All of the lawsuits claim multiple employees were aware of instances of abuse and sexual misconduct. According to the lawsuits, multiple instances of alleged sexual abuse were reported by student witnesses and victims over the years but were never investigated by the administration.
