Fran=above average/good recruiter. Below average coach.

I really think he needs to find an assistant that can really X & O coach. And I mean Alfordesque as in completely leave the in-game coaching to him. And Fran doesn't even need to be in the huddle the last 4 minutes of the game.

Still want him here & he can recruit. In fact I would argue that any/all success he's had here is strictly because of his recruiting. He's had talented players & no matter how bad of a game coach he is, talent will just flat out win you games. And talent has.

I think he is a good recruiter, just struggling to seal the deal on "TOP RECRUITS" that local. I understand that, as Iowa was a dumpster fire when he arrived.

Now I believe he signed and got this current group of seniors because they were local and everyone would of been up in arms because he didn't land the local talent. I hope he goes out and starts to get some more inner city players. Do not use your schollys on ALL Iowa kids. Please go out and take a chance on an inner city kid.

I just think Iowa looks like the slowest and most unathletic team in the Big Ten.

I love Fran but he is losing me. How he can give the ball to MG in the final seconds time after time blows my mind. AC needs to come off the bench now. He should have been coming off the bench all year. I don't know what Fran is watching out there. It was a great year but we are not going to make a deep run due to Fran being too stubborn, or incapable, of seeing that his 2 point guards are huge liabilities.

I wouldn't say unathletic, in fact I'd say we've had some of the biggest Dunkers in the B1G the last 4 years or so. But I'd say we've been the most physically (and mentally) weak team in the B1G the last 4 years or so. It's ok to have a few finesse players but you better have some muscle to compliment them. And we don't/haven't had that.

Baer definitely needs to be starting over Clemmons & move Jok to the 2.
