Fran is mentally unhinged

Thats really a major over simplification. Like we can't have a coach win games, and not lose his mind and be embarrassing? Just like people act like we either have Fran or someone like Lick. Really? So its one or the other?
Remember many of those upset with Fran’s behavior are also the ones upset with Kirk’s behavior.

I am less concerned about how it looks than I am on the impact it can have on a game. It is two foul shots and in some instances change of possession. Those four points can be costly. Despite what players may say about how it rallies them, in a tight game it would be nice to have those 2–4 points back. I think back to the Wisconsin game at home this year.

Sounds great! Who do we hire?

I don't care if our coach is a lunatic if he wins games. As long as he doesn't go all Bob Knight and choke somebody, or something like that.

It's the defense Fran's teams play that I take issue with.

The measures that should be what matters is what do the players think of him and what sort of people does the program produce?

Woiuld you be proud to have anyone in the program as your kid? I'd say yes. We generally have phenomenal kids come out of Iowa City and that say damn well more about what kind of a person Fran really is then any on floor antics.

We dont have coaches slapping other coaches, we dont have players having guns or giving guns to other players to commit crimes. We dont have players committing sexual assault under Fran and on and on. There are way more problems in other programs IMO.

Our biggest issue? No regular season championships and no real runs in the NCAA. Thats my biggest issue with Fran. Not stare downs or getting T'd up.

If he had drug issues, you'd send that guy to rehab. This guy, besides being a terrible coach, cannot function in society. Ask yourself how many times you've been restrained from committing physical violence, ANYWHERE, much less work?

Fire this idiot. Even Lickleiter, as terrible as he was, wasn't insane.
You must not watch other teams

Nothing to save. Dude's a ding dong. He'll pull this shit again. Guaranteed. And during a big fat L. Enjoy the W.
You are one miserable fool. You can not even enjoy a great win with one of the best comebacks ever without needing to trash something. I'm betting that your kids avoid you as much as possible.

Agree. I've never called for him to be fired. Just think this ongoing feud with several refs, (the list of which seems to be growing) is in no way a good thing for Fran or for Iowa basketball. Don't see why people think that somehow his attempts to upstage the stripes are going to do anything but hurt our chances of getting favorable calls in some games. Believe it or not the refs are people also, and they remember these slights directed at them.
The miserable ref who Fran was staring at actually stepped forward to try to induce Fran to say something, anything at all, so he could throw him out of the game. There was absolutely no reason for that idiot to take some steps forward. A referee should NEVER be vindictive and should always be impartial and if they can't do that, then they had better develop some thicker skin or quit..

There are plenty that call out Izzo's antics. He just never seems to get pinched for it.
I never see this. Tiny Tom spends the games either raving at the refs or schmoozing with them and he gets a pass for both. Yes, he is a successful coach but there ought to be the same code of conduct for all coaches and some clearly have been given more leeway.

Absolutely. And just to remain relevant to this past weekend, think of how many ex-MSU players have had serious issues with the law compared to the great young men Iowa produces.

I’m sorry that you’re a nut job.
