Have noticed in several of his post-game meetings with reporters he usually has his head down, talks in a rather sullen voice, has a stat sheet in front of him but rarely looks at it, hardly ever seems happy.

Why is that? Is he PO’d at the reporters, tired of the Iowa job, upset that fans often are calling for him to be fired after bad losses? Thinking of Patrick’s issues?

Many things can happen in meetings with reporters. Most of them are not positive. Some of the thoughts about why he doesn't come across as a bit bizarre--tired of his job? etc. etc. I always found that speculating about what someone is thinking by how I perceive their tone of voice, and facial expressions is risky business. It would be perfectly normal, in my opinion, to not consider a press meeting as a place of joy.

A majority of these post-game meetings are boring as phuck,.. after the first half dozen or so, I'm sure most coaches would just as soon pass...

I've seen clips of coaches looking like they need mental health checks during those pressers. I don't think his behavior is not a common problem.

I think that he always tries to be analytical.....I don't think he wants to gloat about beating another team or give the impression that everything is roses just because of one win. On occasion he seems pissed, usually about officiating, sometimes about the performance of his team.

I think you only see him show some level of happiness after something like winning the BTT or a game in the NCAA tournament, etc......

There might also be that down after the energy and emotions spent during a game....more a lack of energy than anything else. I think he's a professional and that's what he is showing.
