Fran's substitution pattern drives me crazy sometimes

I know some of our starters needed some rest but why would you ever sit Garza, Weezy and CJ at the same time while playing Pemsl, Till and Kriener????

This is when Iowa was up by 5 and Illinois carved the lead and went ahead. At least 2 of our 3 best players should always be in at all times. Soooo happy with the win though!!

I agree but I don’t think he has much choice. We have two more games this week and I am sure he has to be a little careful with the minutes for our top four guys. We already seeing some signs of fatigue with JW 3 point shooting.

Don't really disagree with OP, but Fran doesn't have much to work with off the bench and the guys need a few minutes each half. I would like to see JoeT drive more if he is in and our shooters are on the bench.

That's gonna happen when you have 8 players, essentially, and two of the bench guys being posts, who can't create their own shot.
