I keep saying. Ragaini is always behind our dbs catching a TD. I hope that is positive.
Nice to see B Smith high pointing a ball against Hankins.
Lookin like Linderbomb is in the backfield in a hurry....could be hard to keep off the field.
Notice in the picture before B. Smith high-pointing the ball, Landan Paulsen is in a pic getting reps with the #1 OL.
I'm just happy that he's continuing to make developmental strides. I think that most of us who go over the roster with a fine-toothed comb know that we really need some OL depth through the coming years ... particularly as the young guys continue to grow and develop. Thus, it's important for our older guys to provide leadership ... and, ideally, some production!
We know that Levi can produce when he manages to be healthy ... however, if his Bro can contribute too ... that will help a ton. It will be valuable this year ... and invaluable next year!

In the picture it appears that #98’s arm is that of a black person; Nelson is probably just really tan right now.

* As noted above, Levi Paulsen was lining up at RT; I am guessing he is healthy and starts vs N Illinois (would be his 2nd consecutive start--he started the bowl game, too, in place of the suspended Jackson).
* I heard Leistikow and Emmert of the Register speculating on their post Kids Day podcast whether it's 2 strikes against Jackson and if the next strike he will be dismissed. Suddenly I am concerned about our OL depth.
* #65 Linderbaum looks huge for a freshman; he is making noise this fall camp and probably gets playing time in at least 4 games (does he stay redshirted, where 4 games is it?); don't forget that he was named U.S. Army All-American as a high school senior, so he appears as good as advertised
* Something tells me we are going to see more RB's out of the backfield on passing downs, just to give Stanley more options; Sargent has been in several pics catching passes; Brian Ferentz wants to get the ball to playmakers; is Sargent going to be one of those playmakers? How big of a surprise is he going to be?
* This is the 2nd year for Brian Ferentz as OC. This is the 2nd year in that offense for Stanley, Smith-Marsette, Easley, and Brandon Smith. Everybody should have the playbook down. There are no excuses this year for a poor passing game.

That kid looks game ready as a true freshman, what a handful he’s going to be. Looks like Riley Moss with a pick going up high for it. Moss oozes athleticism and I expect he’ll be a contributor sooner rather than later. Hard not to pull for these instate kids to do well.

I'll offer the olive branch. I apologize for anything I've said. As an Iowan I feel pretty lonely rooting for the Hawks on the West Coast. I go to a lot of local high school games in my area in Nor Cal. A Ton of talent here. See a lot of recruiters from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State...and even the hated Nebraska. Hoping to see an Iowa recruiter here soon.
