Calling for 4-8 inches of snow or more on Friday, because of course it is. I looked at the seat map and it's approaching a sell out so in comes more bad luck to keep everyone away.

Yep I bought 3 tickets 2 days ago and see the forecast changed right after that, ****ing pissed!!!!!!!!!!

Long ways away. Do you actually believe weather forecasts? We were told we were going to get 6-9 inches where I live and we got maybe 2" total. For all their modern equipment, they still get plenty wrong. Let's hope this is one of those cases.
you do realize that a forecast that far out is not the final say. The closer we get you can get a handle on the track and even then it can turn a little on you.

This storm system looks legit I fear they may have this one pegged now it just took them until right after I got my tickets, I had been waiting for this very thing/issue to see the forecast/details about 10 days out and sure enough.....

forecasters are right 15% of the time. Using that criteria the snow will be in the 1\2 inch to 1.4 inch amount.

If it were just me 1000% I have small kids with me and if it wasn't 8pm I agree with you as well. Will be day of type of decision just read more details confirming it doesn't look good.

I would just sell your tickets now then on StubHub or Vivid.

There are other games and you can get your tickets in the hands of someone who will be there.

Not listening to Lyin' Joe Winters anymore. He said 5-8" were coming on Saturday and we got zero.

I doubt there will be enough demand with the weather impact to get them sold and I will need to specifically have someone who is taking 2 youths and 1 adult, those pricing options are great but makes it harder to sell.

Fair points. Might as well just hold them and hope the weather lets up then.

Yep...This really pisses me off, promised my boys awhile ago we were going to this game and this shit happens.

Yeah nearly bought tickets for this game as well and probably would have otherwise. Drove to the Maryland game last week. The trip there wasn't bad despite the rain but the trip back was 40 mph on 4 lanes.

Brutal, yea the weather issue came a bit out of nowhere for MD as well, this one at least has a bit more time to hopefully be wrong but it doesn't look good on everything I've read today.

Meteorologists provide the best forecast they can with the data supplied to them via models. They can’t stop it from changing or predict it changing with any consistency. If you follow any one social media then you know what I’m talking about. They see storms coming but all the different models are rarely in agreement until the storms hit, even then things happen and it’s worse or better than projected.

Keep in mind that you can’t sell youth tickets on Stubhub if you do change your mind.

Yep I figured with the tiered pricing there was no point in trying to sell them and there will be plenty available if in fact this storm comes to fruition so I'll just eat it and consider it a donation to the program....

You might be able to find someone on Craigslist or something like a local FB market place. Especially if you’re in a metro like DSM. Get a few bucks back and possibly help another Hawk fan. Never know and it costs nothing to list them. *Like the donation idea - Ronald McDonald House*

Hopefully everything holds off and you’re able to go and the crowd is rockin’. Last year’s Michigan game was a top 5 in my limited CHA experience.

Yeah in Metro area I would just assume similar impact to anyone trying to come from here if bad enough. I considered some of that though yep but I'm going to hold onto them and hope for the best otherwise there will be ample tickets on the market Friday if in fact it is hitting.

For the record, I know the last forecast was horribly missed but unlike that one which always had a sharp cut off, the entire State seems to be in for 4 to 8 inches this time for what I'm saying. Even if it doesn't come to fruition, people are going to make their plans based off of what they see 2 to 3 days out

National Weather Service Des Moines just posted it looks more and more likely significant system will impact region just now...Timing and temperatures are the uncertainty but the system is on course.

We got tickets. Taking my daughter. As long as it isn't insane on the way there., we are going. Can always crash (no pun intended) out at some friends if need be. REALLY want to make this one!!

That's what she said - sorry, just had to do it.

I took two meteorology courses, the second one consisted mainly of forecasting models. It's just stupid how complex the factors are that determine a storm hitting a location or missing by 50 or 300 miles. A system stalling by 12 hours can cause a system behind it to move hundreds of miles or stall itself for longer than that.
