I tried to build a team with the best offensive skill positions possible since that's usually where the hawks struggle against top teams. The tradition on defense is so good that low $ guys are former all B1G players which made it a little easier but still had to pick a few favorites (Clayborne/Hooker/Sanders).

My strategy overall was to take advantage of bargain players who were still outstanding at positions of strength and then go all out on positions where only our best guys were very good - except that there were a couple guys I had to splurge for (Bob Sanders, Linderbaum, Wirfs).

I don’t want to turn this into a debate about who’s missing, because it’s a pretty good list. I do want to say that Howard Hodges has to be one of the most underrated players of the Ferentz era. Great pass rusher, made big plays, and tough as nails.
