How much fun was that PSU (Nolf/Martinez match)? I thought that was alot of fun!

Yes, I enjoyed the Martin match better. Guess Mr. Martin knew what he was talking about when told coach Ryan to pull the shirt ...Now if only Cox make us happy also. Maybe Cael have to take a pay cut
Both of those matches were very fun. Our guys didn't come out on top, that's ok. They will be back. They both wrestled hard, and aggressively, both are freshman, both in the finals, 2 lose this season each.

Season's over, that was fun! Now it's time to start talking about how next year is going to be so much different than this year, even though we all know it's just gonna be the same old shitshow. F'ing fun!
We just love wrestling and competitions and having fun. Really doesn't matter where you place does it? Heck even this year's national champ placed 5th in Big Ten's last year and didn't even make the top five in the country! I am sure they had fun doing that. It's all about fun and playing games. And the one thing I know is our team and coaches at Iowa have more fun than anyone in the country!
Hi Chuckles. Congrats to PSU wrestlers for their team title. Regarding 5th place for Iowa, it's not what the Hawk wrestlers wanted, but a lot better than 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th place, etc. --- there are about 70 teams that would have loved to finish 5th. Again, not what Iowa wants, but life continues as usual tomorrow.
Totally agree. This was the absolute best FINALS wrestling in the last decade, for sure. Maybe even longer than that. Usually the wrestling gets pretty conservative on Saturday nite.
I think the number of young studs across the country speaks volumes to college wrestling getting even more offensively exciting. Now if Iowa can just get in on the action from that standpoint... things will start looking up again.
For starters... I think the Hawks start out next season with the top ranked guys at 125 and 133. We build on that with a promising recruiting session next fall and the Hawks return to the top will be underway.
Outside of 141 and 165, they were pretty entertaining, imo.
Don't know how long you've followed college wrestling, but Saturday nite has typically been rather dull over the years.
Exactly! It is all about being bigger than winning, it's about having good kids, a good program and competing. He took the words right out of my mouth! Go Hawks!
Its all about making the sport of wrestling fun to watch and that's what Nickal and Nolf are doing. They both go 100 percent all the time and that's what we need to build the sport.
