Iowa women's basketball is more than #22. She has a pretty damned good supporting cast. Caitlan is no doubt the straw that stirs this drink but make no mistake, there are a lot of ingredients in this cocktail. When stirred....or shaken properly, it is a tasty elixir.

Gabby has been nuclear, and she can take a punch. All five starters are somewhere between very good and GOAT. Monika is like Filip. Great footwork buries her defender too deep and eats a steady diet of Monika's hooks, short banks and lay ups-that would be dunks in the boys game. From where does the double team come, Gabby? No. CC? Certainly not. The other two girls are both good shooters so it's very hard to double the point-blank post shooter. That's what makes for the offensive juggernaut.

Well when you have Taylor McCabe sitting on the bench shooting 42% from three and Gabbie was shooting 18% playing most of the game, there may have been reason for that.
Gabbie was 18.9% (10-53) from 3 through the end of 2022, and is 50.6% (42-83) in 2023.
We would have been bounced without her in Minneapolis and in iowa city
If she kept playing, and playing like she was in Nov/Dec, this is a completely different season for the women. I'm glad she found her shot, because as good as the law firm is, this team goes nowhere as a 2-person team, and at the start of the year, it really was.
No sh it Sherlock. My point is and has always been, you can't bench a shooter and expect her to magically break out of her slump. We rode her through it and now look where we are.
