Anyone else hear he can’t get in to Minnesota and is doing a year at the OTC?
I think it is stebensen. It's Steveson, not Stevenson. I'm not sure if the misspelling was intentional or not, but it's a common mistake. Gable will be a Gopher next year and there are no academic issues whatsoever.
I think you meant Stieblerson.Gable Steiberson. Gonna be a beast. I do envision controversial last second no takedown to win NC on big stage.
No question Stevens seeks better than Sam..I’m really interested in seeking Sam wrestle Stebeson. Any score on predictions?
I think you meant Stieblerson.
That's ok as long as he seeks better than both of the Nevills also.No question Stevens seeks better than Sam..
I would say there is an 83.3% chance that you brainiacs are spelling that wrong!
Yeah guy is on another level. But I believe it’s Streiblerson. Get it right - jeez!Gable Steiberson. Gonna be a beast. I do envision controversial last second no takedown to win NC on big stage.
Thoughts on how he fairs at the Open vs Rey, Bradley, Coon, etc? Awful interested to see how he does, vs those 3 as they are 3 very different styles. The great D and size of Rey, the size and upper body game of Coon, and the quick feet of Bradley.

Exactly, Gable will be hitting the weights to bulk up. I expect him to take some lumps early but progress during the season to medal rounds.I think he'll lose a couple matches and I actually think it will benefit him. One thing about Gable is that he hasn't been challenged much the last few years, even internationally, and now will wrestle grown man-strength. I'm sure he'll be extremely competitive, but i dont expect him to win. He's young, I think he just turned 18, so it will be a big test.
I can't wait to watch him and Spencer Lee compete. Both are special kids.

He looks kind of peaked out in the weight department. Where is this weight going to go?
Have to admit that Minnesota wrestling has a heck of weight program.

The whiners never stop here.Is bacne included with that program?

It's as if they don't know that NCAA champions get tested. Of course it has been 15 years since Iowa had a hvy champ so maybe they've forgotten the protocal.
You know how easy it is to cycle off when you know exactly when the test is?It's as if they don't know that NCAA champions get tested. Of course it has been 15 years since Iowa had a hvy champ so maybe they've forgotten the protocal.
Instead of facing the fact that TNT do not know how to coach heavyweights (ala Cael), some members of this board would rather denigrate a 2x champ in the hope that their own failures are then acceptable.
What could have been with Stoll. A pity really. You are a master troller, no doubt. However, just to be accurate, Iowa 285's have been quite solid under Brands.

I agree. I hated to see him leave Minnesota, but I've always wanted him to have success because he's such a good kid. What could have been with Stoll. A pity really.
That really comes out in his interviews. A solid young man who will be successful in life. We could use a lot more of those 22/23 year olds out there.I agree. I hated to see him leave Minnesota, but I've always wanted him to have success because he's such a good kid.
