Saw something on twitter where he said he was verbally committed to Iowa...would be nice!

no relation this kid we are getting is way better than that sophomore that is dominating the upper weights, pretty good pick-up for us don't you think.

What the hell im I missing here?
This thread has pretty much hit the shitter as everyone throws in some sarcasm from the last few years. Kinda funny, and it started with the misspelling in the OP.

As I posted originally: the OP fell victim to some good, old fashioned trolling. The culprit appears to have been...wait for it...Freddie Stroker.
If indeed, Stroker is the perp... he should spend his free time trying to figure out how he can TRY and compete with Kemmerer. Ole Fredi seems like a publicity hound.

Fredy posted a screen shot of a snap chat from Gable wearing a Iowa hat and on the snap chat it said something like "verbally committed to Iowa". Gable trolling his buddy turned into his buddy trolling Gable. If anyone sees this as anything more than having a lil fun at the expense of your buddy, then they may take life too seriously.

Stroker did lose to Kemerer. He also had a concusion. The first of many college battles between the two talented wrestlers. Sit back and enjoy.

Concussion, huh? Oh gee... the Goofs starting extra early with the excuses. What are the odds?

Doesn't JR and his trainers have a closer look at concusions?
Seems to me the kid should have not been wrestling unless he was cleared by medical people.

From what I heard, Stroker hit his head in the first match, felt nauseous a few times after that...then went to the trainer while in wrestle backs. That's when they had him dropout for concussion symptoms...he was two matches into wrestle backs I think.

Fredy and Kemerer are going to have some great matches...I am glad we got Kemdawg but I have a lot of respect for Fredy. Tough kid, and will be a tough out for Kemerer. Wish he had gone to Mizzou.

Lol old timer, you beat me to the punch.

Do u understand how open tournaments work? MN coaches and trainers are not typically there.

These two will trade blows for many years ahead. Kemerer got the first one, unfortunately it doesn't show on their "official" record. Fredy is a great kid, glad to have him up here.

Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that our student athletes are sent to open tournaments without the support of the university. I think of travel safety during the winter and health issues like the Stroker concussion and just feel like the NCAA should evaluate their stance on this issue if they're serious about student athlete health and safety. Sorry to change the subject but it's something that has bothered me for a long time.

That's fine... I think you'd have a hard time finding Iowa fans who, if they had to choose, wouldn't objectively take Kemmerer over Stroker.

Fredy is a good kid and great wrestler and competitor. Not his fault Iowa wasn't interested.
