2-time NCAA champion (and Olympic gold medalist) Gable Steveson is returning to NCAA wrestling for the 2024-25 season. Steveson will wrestle for the Gophers again this season.
He left Minnesota after winning NCAA titles in 2021 and 2022 as well as an Olympic gold medal in 2020 (2021, technically).
After leaving college, Steveson pursued careers with WWE and the NFL, but nothing much came of those efforts. He had one year of eligibility remaining after leaving Minnesota, which he will use this season. Steveson will be an immediate Big Ten and NCAA title favorite.
