Some things just shouldn't be endured.
Danaerys is only 13 at the time of her wedding to Drago, and they had no problem showing that. How old is she supposed to be? The actress is 19, but isn't Sansa still a minor in US terms? I thought I read that makes showing her off limits.

Good point. I think it factors in that Emilia Clarke was obviously in her 20's when her character is forced to marry Drogo. Viewers who have not read the books would not necessarily know she was only 13. I didn't.
Sophie Turner has grown up on this show over the last 4 years and is now a stunning young woman. Some viewers have deep empathy for her character for all she has been through in 5 seasons and to add this 'wedding night' rape seems too much. Did anybody really think Ramsay would be soft and gentle to his new bride? Hell no. She's his new play thing. Get over it.
Remember the social mores prevalent in GoT; if she's old enough to bleed, she's old enough to breed. They said as much when Sansa was betrothed to Joffrey. They were just waiting for her to start having her period before marrying them off. Not really much different than when the Pioneers were settling the west here in America.
Imagine the outrage if the Hound decided to relieve his SRH by violating Arya while they were on their countryside tour during season 4? Dan, Dave and HBO know better than to try something like that. That would have been way over the top. That's where you draw the line.
If you're watching new programming on HBO, an occasional rape or 'motorboating' should be expected.
Sansa is a vastly more likeable character in the TV series than in the books, where she is stupid, self-centered and pretty much entirely clueless about the world.I must be in the vast minority. I don't like her character don't find her even the slightest bit attractive and wish her whole storyline would go away.
