You’d think that based on Kinnick’s growing reputation for being a wild atmosphere and The Wave, we have a shot!
2-3% chance I’d say. Stanford at Oregon would have national title implications, two top 20/15 teams. Neither one of these teams is going to lose this weekend either. Best chance for Gameday: 2 weeks later in Minneapolis.

IF gameday is at Iowa in 2 weeks, would the BTN crew also show up? If Gameday is not there, does that increase the chances that BTN show is in Iowa City?
Potentially. Minnesota has Miami, OH at home this week then at Maryland, and like Iowa, has a bye heading into the game versus the Hawks. If both teams with their next 2, it is the most intriguing game of the slate.
Gameday has been to plenty of games in the SEC when they were televised on CBS. There is no reason they won't be in Iowa City even with the game on Fox.

This would be absolutely amazing. I would think it would be the first time in Game Day history that a "visiting" team over took the set. They'd be forced to show the 2002 ESPN broadcast game of Iowa vs Minnesota.
I mean, Fleck would come on the set to boo's. Row-Row-Your Boat would be sung to a deafening tune as he is talking about his team. You couldn't make this up to how gold all of this would be.
Their stadiette isn't big enough to accommodate College Game Day....just like that dump over in Lames.
They do GD at places that they don't have the game. But it has to be by far the best game.

i don't want to put the cart before the horse BUT if we can roll UNI by 30+ this week we thinks we have a decent chance to see it.
Game Day has a chance to be in IC with it being a night game and Iowa’s ability to knock off top ten teams the last couple of years.
The B1G BTN crew will be in IC for the Wisconsin game too so that should help create a raucous atmosphere.

With the BTN already doing their pregame show, it wont be in Iowa City. There would be nobody at the BTN show
Problem is for those West Coast games the Gameday start time is so early in the morning it is dark there and attendance isn't great. There just isn't much vibe. Gameday Iowa City for Iowa vs Wisconsin night game would be crazy on set.
Don't know the specifics on this, but I would imagine that the national show coming to town would trump the conference show, and BTN would instead go to Ann Arbor or elsewhere.
However, as much fun as it would be, it looks like Stanford-Oregon, which has already been announced as an 8 PM EST start (no network announced yet) will almost certainly be the ABC Primetime game and the location of GameDay.
Iowa-Penn St is Iowa's only hope for GameDay this year, IMHO, and it would, of course, require both teams to be 7-0 or maybe 6-1 going in.
The BTN sites are pre determined. That show will be in Iowa city no matter what. Also setting up in Hubbard Park where gameday was last time.
The offense is going to have to get a whole lot more consistent this week for that to happen.
Gameday will not go to a game that is televised by a competitor.......they will hype up a game on ABC or ESPN
