*****Games on 2/16 thread*****

Purdue only up 2 at NW 10 min in. NW is a tough as nails team with a lot of close losses.

Yes we missed so many shots but that call against Keegan was an Abomination.
The call was beyond the worst ... but if Iowa shoots even just 1.5 or 2 points higher on FG% in that game, that foul likely doesn't matter.

Kind of a 'if this, then that' scenario. Iowa shouldn't have had itself in the position for a horrible call to decide the game, but Green should have been fired for making said call. Absolutely completely atrocious game-deciding whistle.

Any word in Rutgers-land on exactly what happened to RHJ, @MrsScrew ? Seemed like a dislocated finger to me, with how he was holding his hand/arm, but must have been significantly worse of an injury.

Hope he can come back for RU in the B1GT - unless Iowa has to play them, sorry! - and/or in time for the Big Dance.

Nothing official yet. I'm hoping some lidocaine & a little dirt & it will be all better. 🙏
The only upside is that it's not his shooting hand.

I'm reading dislocated. His grandfather said he'd be fine. He was on the floor post game with ice on his hand. Have to wait for x-rays today.
I'm willing to bet only death will keep RHJ from playing vs Purdue Sunday night.

One can say the same about Rutgers, had they shot better, etc. What made that call so bad (aside from being terrible) is that it went against how the whole game was called. The refs let them play, lots of holding and grabbing both ways the entire game. Made for a slugfest of a game with offense at a struggle. Then to make that call at the end of the game when Keegan is playing good defense, not using his hands, just moving his feet. Terrible. The game is 50/50 at that point in OT, let OT decide it.
