You seem upset that the blue state taxpayers are now paying their fair share.
Blue states generate most of the GDP/Tax revenue. My family has received millions in farm subsidies, it's time to be honest here and be realistic. Over 1/4 of this state is on Medicaid, especially in the rural areas. What tax burden are these people shouldering? About 1/2 of the farmers under 45 who came into my office were on Medicaid as well. You might want to focus on true economic/social policies that draw employment opportunities to the state, but we seem to be a bit short sighted in this regard. Almost every town has a small gym these days. There's a part of me that believes in preventive medicine and that weight loss medication plus exercise is something worth exploring when it comes to cutting down costs when it comes to knee replacements, heart/renal failure and so on.
