Should anyone be concerned that he had no FBS offers out of high school, has no Div 1 college stats, and his greatest claim to fame is his last name's NIL value? Just looking for a reality check.
Love watching you post about this Iowa team, keep it up. Just watched the Sopranos, so GFY.
More important ? Is why is he on an Iowa football board in early May on a Friday night at 930 reading threads about a transfer qb they may get.

Well, right, we get that, but did you see the pic of his mom and sister?? That is worth a star right there. Players with the hottest moms and sisters get to start. I think the ncaa is working on codifying that. Plus I hear he has a cannon for an arm, so then by default he should be the starter, because we are now going to be throwing 60 yard bombs all over the place. Because it does not matter how accurate the throw is, it is only incomplete once someone on our team fails to catch it. It is all in the new program philosophy booklet that was sent out.

Very few recruits want to come and play for a guy that is 69 years old and has a reputation of being offensively incompetent with a union mentality.

“Obviously my name’s an attention-grabber and people like to do headlines with it, but I like to show people with my play that I can back it up, too,” General told The Dallas Morning News. “I have done that, I’m going to continue to do that as well, and give them a reason to remember my name.”

The plan was for Booty's parents to call him by his middle name, Axel. But they told The Dallas Morning News that when Booty was young, he only answered to "General," and so that's what stuck.
Johnny had four sons: Josh, Abram (General's father), John David (pictured below) and Jake. Josh was named a USA Today All-American in 1993 and was also a first-round MLB Draft pick. Abram played wide receiver at LSU and had a brief stint with the Browns in the NFL. John David won two Rose Bowls at USC, and Jake was an all-state quarterback in high school.
“When you think of Shreveport (Louisiana), and you mention athletics, the Booty name is the first name that comes to mind,” General's mom, Amy, told The Dallas Morning News.
Allen High School might sound familiar. It's one of the biggest and best football high schools in Texas, and it calls one Kyler Murray an alumnus.
Booty came through earlier this season with a touchdown pass with six seconds remaining to extend Allen's current winning streak to 83 games.
