What's the difference between a porcupine and OP's mom? That’s not I’ve heard it. What is the difference between a porcupine and Jack Trice Stadium. The porcupine has 40,000 pricks on the outside.

Mazda has a very cool (but rare) "Platinum Quartz Metallic" that's like white but with a faint goldish color. It's pretty awesome.
I’ve been intrigued by the old white guy mobile (ridge line) but I don’t see the utility of not having the bed covered and not having seats there. I test drove a passport a couple of years ago, and it was okay. I have not kept track of what they look like now or how they drive. I do like the redesign of the pilot. Very sharp. I drove one for years, and if they didn’t go to a horrible design in 2016 I might still be driving one.Just went through replacing my totaled vehicle a few weeks ago. Had a Honda Ridgeline. Bought a Honda Passport.
I just drove a brand new CRV and it is a fine vehicle, but uninspiring. It is a tool to get you from point a to b. The Passport has just enough oomph to be fun, a bit more storage and utility, plus the newer ones have a better look on the outside than the mom-mobile CRV. Gas mileage is worse though. I wish they made a hybrid version.
Never drove a Rav or the Mazda. Drove the Subaru many years ago and it is a fine car, but less reliable than the Toyota or Honda.

Is that why they score so low on reliability?I don’t subscribe to that. It’s a race car and built like that. I just had more piece of mind in my tin can Lexus. The BMW is much more solid in every way besides the engine.

Here’s what my Passport looks like. Much better looking front end than just a few years ago. Honda’s design engineering is mostly unifying the look of the Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline, both interior and exterior.I’ve been intrigued by the old white guy mobile (ridge line) but I don’t see the utility of not having the bed covered and not having seats there. It’s not so much needing the 3rd row very often but having it when needed. I suppose it’s not needed though if there is also a family truckster in the stable. Who knows, maybe I will take another look at them some day.I've had a Ridgeline since they came out in 2005 (Model year 2006) and have my second (2013) but my son drives it now. I loved that vehicle and may keep it when I retire. I probably wouldn't buy one of the new generations as I've soured on Honda. We also have a Pilot and haven't used the 3rd row seats in years, so they aren't important for everyone.
I got rear-ended in mine too while I was stopped. Only had a a cracked bumper, nothing else. I would guess the guy was going 30-35 and his older CRV was destroyed. Here’s what my Passport looks like. The Ridgeline was a great vehicle for me and is just about the perfect weekend warrior vehicle for most families. The trunk and dual-action tailgate are way more useful than most people think. I also had a softopper for it to mostly waterproof the bed whenever I needed it, otherwise it hung on the wall of my garage taking up a small amount of space.
There is a list of small tweaks I wish they would make, but it is all the truck that most people need rather than what have become massive 1/2 ton trucks. I had it for 6.5 years before a teenager killed it by rear ending me at highway speeds when I was stopped. The truck was at least 6” shorter after he hit me, but the cabin was pristine. Really impressive safety engineering.
Not a flame but the bed on a ridge line looks so small. What have you hauled in it?Here’s what my Passport looks like. Much better looking front end than just a few years ago. Honda’s design engineering is mostly unifying the look of the Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline, both interior and exterior.

I think certain engines like the early N20 would be a large factor in their reliability and also their need for meticulous maintenance that many don’t do. They are overbuilt in a good way from my experience, I’d just rather have a Japanese engine. What’s your experience with BMW?Is that why they score so low on reliability?
None, I own Toyotas. I just see their reliability rankings always underperforming.I think certain engines like the early N20 would be a large factor in their reliability and also their need for meticulous maintenance that many don’t do. I like my BMW for the driving experience and with a flash tune it’s a race car. I love my Toyota/Lexus for the peace of mind.None, I own Toyotas. I just see their reliability rankings always underperforming.
Side note: Had this bad boy back in the day. Great vehicle with one of the best sounding factory exhaust systems everWrite in: Early 2000s Pontiac Grand Prix
The bed in the Gen 2s is 5’4” long, with 50” of lay flat space. When I bought it back in 2017 it was the biggest bed of any mid-size. I’m not sure if that is still true though. You can haul sheets of plywood or drywall with the tailgate down with no issue, they just overhang the edge a bit. A normal short bed F150 is only 2” longer. Plus the Ridgeline has a bed hauling capacity of over 3/4 of a ton. So you can haul a lot.Not a flame but the bed on a ridge line looks so small. What have you hauled in it?
That is an excellent car to smoke in.Write in: Early 2000s Pontiac Grand Prix
Had a lot of friends caught with weed and/or shrooms in those things. HS parking lot was 50% Pontiacs with one Firebird and a few dozen Grand Prix s/Grand Ams.That is an excellent car to smoke in.

Well, it turns out the Mazda CX-5 was the winner!
Closed the deal on the Carbon Edition Turbo today. Nice little SUV with plenty of pep and fun to drive. Gas mileage is underwhelming, but that's the trade off for turbo.
The "Zircon Sand Metallic" exterior color, the blacked out wheels, mirrors and trim, and the "Terracotta/Black" leather seats are only available on the Carbon turbo.
Off to North Carolina to really stretch its legs on Monday. Zoom Zoom!
This is unpossible. Some lackey from the finance department told us the government is forcing EVs on everyone.
Are you going to smoke in it?
