Todd must not be aware that many Hawkeye fans hate Gilman now and was hoping he'd lose.

So maybe not so great to be an Iowa fan right now..

I have always been a fan of Gilman. I believe he made the right decision. Good wrestling is at several locations and just not with our Hawks.

Speaking from a personal perspective, I have coached my sons throughout their kids and high school careers. I was always happy when they got someone else to look at them and give them a different perspective. No matter how hard I tried, I was not able to cover all the different angles. Sometimes moving to another place and getting a different perspective is a great help.

Now that my youngest is in college, I am happy to have someone else working with him. I think I have done all I can and he would not be best served if I were still his main coach. It seems to have worked out for Gilman, not so much for Ramos. Although, Ramos is probably a hugh asset for the UNC team (as a coach) because of his Iowa approach coupled with Coleman's Okie State approach.

Now having said that, I love this board and wouldn't change a thing. There's a reason the "faces" of the true Hawkeye fanbase you talk to at matches, tourneys, on fb and twitter laugh at you guys and call you an embarrassment. What started out as a joke (calling this place a cesspool) has now taken root that none of them want to be associsted with you or this page. How about a little self aweness please. Surely you know all this... So why would I want anything to change here especially if it makes your fanbase look bad?

Willie is 100 percent right. You have low class trash here that has no problem calling innocent kids druggies, innocent parents as taking bribes and disparaging our sport and wrestling programs by calling them corrupt and cheaters. All because you weren't at the top at that given time.

Guys I have completely changed my mind about everything I wrote. I am upset with my own life's failures and as such, I have taken to patrolling the competition's forum and...(choking up here.... excuse me) I now spend more time here than on my own board!
