Girls soccer

I have heard of none. It will be a 3-4 month search process. It will be interesting to see what kind of coach they can attract here.

We just played for the conference championship last season. The program seems to be trending upward. You'd think that would allow for a decent pool of candidates.

But this is Gary Barta's Iowa athletics department we're talking about....so how this turns out will likely range anywhere from all out fireworks show to fizzling dud.
 
They played in their first NCAA tourney appearance last season. It seems to be an up and coming program. I hope they get a great coach.
 
It was slow progress, but the patience paid off with Rainey. Really made some big strides over the last few years

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa director of athletics Gary Barta has named Dave DiIanni (De-ANN-ee) as the fifth head coach in UI soccer history. DiIanni spent the past 11 seasons as head coach at Grand Valley State.

Heard Rainey left town when soccer wasn't be supported like field hockey with facilities. really too bad

I was told that he has the opportunity to do both. Gossip. I have no insider info but it was the talk in the soccer world that I am part of.
