Gonzaga losing

I've seen Iowa vs BYU in a few NCAA projected matchups. I dont like that matchup for a 1st Rd game. BYU has a great inside/outside game with Childs/Toolson/Haws. They would be tough to defend. They also have a Baer type guy in Seljaas. After beating Gonzaga last night though I bet that now jumps BYU up a seed or two so an Iowa matchup right away is doubtful now. BYU will be one of those higher seeds nobody wants to see.

BYU is #14 in the NET.

They will not be a higher seed. They're in contention for a top 4 seed.

to win you have to beat who ever you play, right now Iowa is good enough to beat most teams that are projected to be in the NCAAT.

But maybe the question is how many more of those "good" losses would Gonzaga have if they had to play a Big Ten schedule . . . half of it on the road. Gonzaga is good. BYU is good. But are they really better than at least 8 or 9 Big Ten teams? I don't think so, FWIW.

Short answer. Yes, Gonzaga is better than the 8th or 9th team in the B10.
