Not a smackdown, Nebraska outgained us by 200 yards. Turnovers are part of the game, gifts are different. We were never in total control of that game, even with the two great TD runs. Next years game with them will be for the west, mark it down. And Wisconsin loses their D cordinator to LSU, nice!
Lol at 'total control of that game.' Flat out lies are usually called out because it's so easy. Simple stats... NU out gained Iowa 433-250. NU held the ball for 36 minutes compared to Iowas 24. Nebraska had 22 first downs to Iowas 10. Iowa went 0-9 on 3rd down.
Sounds like total control to me. Congrats on the best season in Iowa history.
Watching that game (particularly with Armstrong as the opposing QB), I never felt that Nebraska was going to threaten to beat Iowa. That's what I meant by being "in control" of that game, regardless of what the stats say. Thanks for your sarcastic congrats. I'm looking forward to the Hawks again winning the B10 West again next season!
