Freshmen led the scoring points tonight with Bohannon's 23 pts, 7 ast, & 1 TO, and Pemsl 18 pts & 3 ast. Moss looked good first half, Fran should have played him more in the second half. Fran volcano had a minor eruption. Jok tried too hard with had a nagging shoulder injury.

3 tough losses so far but should help them build for the future.

Really surprised how bad Wagner and Williams are looking right now against good competition. Right now only Moss is giving this team quality minutes out of that huge recruiting class and that is hurting this year's team badly.

The good for me is these true frosh are looking like they are going to be special.

I think Wagner just has to know his role and produce when he can. He is freak of an athlete, but he plays tentatively when he's out there. Last night he was put up against a bigger body. I hope he can develop a jump shot, that way he can pull his man away from the basket. That would help his game tremendously. But when he attack the rim, go up strong.

Williams I think is hitting the sophomore slump. He has some great pull up jumpers at times and then other times looks lost on the offensive end. I think its still kind or "mesh" issues with this group. I think they are trying to figure out their role in the team. Jok forced it last night trying too hard to be the leader. Needs to recognize when he's off or double teamed and give the ball up.

This group will continue to improve. With all freshman they will have ups and downs. I remember watching Tremble at Maryland he'd score 20+ one night and then barely put up 4pts the next. So with Bohannon/Pemsl success, there will most likely be some lows.

My son played D2 college ball on a scholarship. He said the biggest concern was not to do anything stupid or you get taken out of a game or YELLED at. When you are 19 years old nobody wants to get yelled at or make a mistake. So, instead of playing like you are capable you are worried about making a mistake. So, playing with confidence isn't as easy as it looks when you get yanked out of the game for 1 mistake. From what I see JoBo could care less if he makes a mistake and that is a compliment to him. CW on the other hand is the other way around right now. I feel bad for him as well. But I also think CW doesn't see the floor very well at all. Bottom line is if you can't handle making a mistake and getting crucified for it maybe you shouldn't be out there. These guys will get it figured out real soon. Keep playing hard boys and play your hearts out, mistakes or not.

Wagner and Dom are big disappointments so far this season.
Jok is who he is - feast/famine

Agree, his role last year was easily defined. Defend, rebound, set screens, and slip to the hoop once in a while when the defense forgets about you. This year, he's not playing with four other guys who know where to be on both ends of the court all the time. He's not always the clear fifth option when he's out there anymore and it hasn't been a smooth transition for him.
