I am mostly a game by game kinda fan. I do look at the schedule before the season and think what the record might be or could be. I am always aware that the hawks will have one or maybe two games like ISU where they look like the better team but dont put them away and lose, also aware this year we had only about a 10% chance of beating OSU unless they had 5 turnovers to our none and we could score, but also know we should win most of the games.
I dont care what anyone says but most any Big 10 team can beat us as we have little margin for error.
Without the ISU loss we could still be talking 5-1 record and a chance for the playoffs at 11-1 but probably not 10-2.
We still have a chance to tied for the Big 10 title if we win out, which could happen with our running game and the defense holding teams down like we did OSU for a half, UWash the whole game, Minny, pretty much ISU.
But Indiana, Penn St and Oregon have to lose one.
