GOP needs to stand firm on the SCOTUS issue......

There is no one leader of the GOP. Mitch McConnell in
the Senate and Paul Ryan in the House are the nominal
leaders who have no real power.

Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are the three
front runners in the GOP Presidential Primaries. Yet, they
do not control the GOP Party.

There is a serious vacuum in the Republican Party and
no one on the horizon seems to be a serious leader.

Yes, because their scorched earth obstructionist tactics have worked out so well for them in the past:rolleyes:

The American People want legislators that do their jobs and govern. The Republicans continually demonstrate they are incapable of doing that.

Is that why des were thrown out in 2014?

I actually hope the GOP makes good on this promise. Their party is a clown show anyway. The last debate proved that. This would just be the cherry on top of the Republican shit sandwhich.

Or giant douche

The more you look at it, the more the GOP is screwed. Fight confirmation? They use up valuable political capital they can't afford to use. Fold and confirm? Obama changes the Court to a liberal one and Republicans look like whiny bitches who can't stand up to him. And even if they do decide to fight, they're still screwed. In a 4-4 decision, whatever the lower court ruled, stays. Since Obama owns the lower courts, that's likely to be bad for the Cons.

No wonder the Republicans are going ape-shit.

Personally, I like obstructionist tactics.

The purpose of Congress isn't to create as many new laws as possible.

Change in a Republic should come agonizingly slow, as it requires consensus which should be difficult to attain.

Go Bernie. Moar gridlock!

I want gridlock in the military. At least this we can agree on.

So do their job and they're weak? You sure are entertaining

What would this mean? Congressional gridlock can't stop a President from sending troops and running up that bill. You need a dove in the WH to do that. Congressional gridlock could prevent us from buying more railgun destroyers maybe, but it won't allow you to cut anything.

Doing things like this, whether it's the GOP or the Dems, makes the side doing it look like petulant little children. Of course, that's what I've come to expect from career politicians.

That's the insidious genius of the conservative cause. Their main message is the government doesn't work. When they get a chance to prove that, that helps them sell their main message. I maintain, cons are good at marketing.

^^^The jobless nitwit who posts 20 worthless threads per day has another moronic comment to make.

But you have to admit, what has Obama been denied by this republican congress?!?

This reason you think I'm ******** you is because you stink and are too stupid to look in your underwear.

But, he's has the approval of 49% of the country according to Gallup.

The people have spoken.

Drill and kill!
Have you ever visited ANWR? One of the most beautiful places on earth, as far as I'm concerned. The oil procured doesn't replace the potential loss of that beauty, again as far as I'm concerned. And since I'm (almost) always the smartest person in the room that opinion should be considered close to fact. :D

The only way the beauty you treasure can be maintained is to reduce world population. Focusing on oil is missing the forest for the trees.
