Looking for some more analysis on the upcoming game aside from the Iowa point of view I came across this:

Decent enough podcast...then the good stuff starts with the host on the phone at 34:52.

I don't mind a homer picking his team to win but ho-lee crap that prediction and subsequent schedule lament is pacifier worthy.

Damn I would hate to be a Gopher fan always worried about what Iowa is doing. They even do the cute "Who Hates Iowa" cheer at random games.

"Hate week"

Hey, whatever you have to do to feel relevant in CFB.

I would be embarrassed if I were a Minnesota fan

The call in guy was clueless. He said Iowa hasn't played anyone and the #5 ranking is BS.

Now ragging on the number of ranked teams Minnesota has played the past few yrs vs Iowa's "bad" schedule the past few yrs.

He can't even pronounce Kinnick. He is saying. Ken-neck. What a douche.

Minny has a really weird obsession with Iowa. Not quite as annoying as ISU little brother syndrome, but it definitely approaches that level when they are clearly a step below Iowa in FB or BB. Shouldn't have to be the case for the lone D1 school in a good-sized state.

I thought the "We Hate Iowa" thing was just a gimmick. I didn't that they actually hated Iowa. Apparently they do.. I think us Iowans are nice people!

Wow, we have beaten 5 teams with winning records, not 3 like he says. Everything else he said was garbage. Then he touts his objective stats, lol.

Pretty much normal hometown stuff. While Kirk is 10-6 against the Gophs, they are coming off a 51-14 shellacking of the Hawks last year and do have an overall winning record in the series and 7 football national championships on their side, but most of their success was 1960 and before.

LOL. That was pure entertainment. These Goofers are soon pathetic. The goofers have no run game, Iowa does. Iowa likes to stop the run, Minnesota can't.
My prediction, Pain.

Yep, they have an 18-game lead in the series. Before Hayden's first victory against MN it was a 29-game lead! Since then we have won at a 2:1 ratio exactly, going 22-11 against MN since 1982. I think of all the B1G schools not named OSU or Michigan, MN holds the largest series advantage over us. Would be nice to go on a 10-game run and get it in single digits, but at this point I'll settle for a 1-game run.

Other series fact I thought interesting is the number of consecutive years IA has played MN. Played 'em every year since 1931, 84 straight games! I know they're IA's in-conference border rival but you'd think something along the way would have interrupted the series.

Go Hawks .... go!

They were hanging their hat a lot on the last two losses, apparently encouraged by how tough they played OSU and Michigan. Ya know, if not for some bad breaks ...

Otoh, maybe those are the high-water marks for this Gopher team, as 3 of their 4 total wins aren't that shinny either. A 10-7 win at home against Kent State. A 1-7 Kent State. The other 2 wins were 3-point victories over Colorado State and Ohio.
