Was able to catch their game in Cedar Falls tonight. Real ugly game to start off. If I recall correctly ICW had 4 points or 6 points at the end of the first quarter. Halftime score was 19-16 cedar falls. ICW came out hot in the third and eventually pulled away in the 4th.

Two best players on the court tonight were Wali Parks for West and Travon Fagan for Cedar Falls. When I left with a couple minutes to go Frans kids (Fran was in attendance) I believe had a combined 7 points. To me it appears Connor has a little hitch in his shot, and he just didn't look overly comfortable tonight. Patrick wasn't a huge force but played pretty solid D and looks darn good on that stage as a freshman.

Cedar Falls has a lot of potential but I was scratching my head tonight with their coaching. AJ Green, who looked outstanding shooting the ball tonight, started to get it going in the second half. West quickly put Parks on him and shut him down the rest of the game. Very nice adjustment by West.

Cedar Falls left Green isolated against Parks and he wasn't quick enough to get by Parks and knew if he shot it was going to get blocked. Why Cedar Falls didn't run him off screens was beyond me. Green's shot is really pretty though....tonight it looked much better than either McCaffrey's

Just my 2 cents from one game. And yes, I'm a very novice evaluator.

Really wish UNI would have went after parks. I think he's going to be a good college player.

On the other hand, I heard C Pemsl, the UI recruit from Dubuque Wahlert went for 33 pts and 20 rebounds, last night. Kid is going to contribute, probably, right away.

High school kids are seldom consistent for a lot of reasons. Fran would not have offered his sons if he didn't think they had he potential to be Top 100-150 players, maybe a lot higher than that. I am not worried about the McCaffery boys.

Both of Fran's boys seem like combo guards at best. I just can't see them as PG. A lot of this years success has come from very strong PG play from Mike and Clemmons. We will see how Williams developes but Frans teams need strong PG play. I do like the fact that Pat has been working on his D this season.
