Gotch Catch in Humbolt

Is anyone going to that Gotch Catch tournament in Humboldt IA this weekend? Does anyone know if any past Iowa wrestlers are entered? Sounds like a crazy sport (part wrestling, part martial arts, etc).

The style of wrestling that Iowan Frank Gotch popularized across the country is returning to the hometown of the legendary mat figure.
Catch wrestling is a hybrid grappling style that features no timeouts and no points. Matches last 20 minutes, unless a wrestler ends the bout with a three-second pin or a joint-lock submission. If neither of those things happens, the referee will pick the winner based on aggressiveness. Choke holds, kicking and striking are prohibited.

Frank Gotch was such a bad ass! I sat in his desk once in the museum in Humboldt and did a bunch of research on him. He was the Hulk Hogan of his time.

Gotch was a real wrestler. Isn't Hulk Hogan an actor? He sure showed some acting chops in that courtroom where he won all those millions of dollars.

I was talking as far as popularity goes, he was the Hulk Hogan of his time. He certainly didn't have a sex tape out, and he didn't make any shitty movies.
