I thought I remember Tom saying in one of his interviews that if there's precipitation, then they'll make the decision. Otherwise, put a stocking cap on if it's cold.I am sorry if this has already been posted...but is there a "cutoff" established as to what the weather will need to be for the meet to be held outdoors in Kinnick v. indoors at Carver? I would think 51 and clear would be very doable for an outdoor meet in the afternoon, but what about, say, 37 and a chance of sleet, etc?
How and when will the decision be made?
I thought I heard 32 degrees was the cut off, but I feel like if I were a wrestler/coach for either team, I would want to wrestle regardless of the temperature. Moisture would be another story.
HeatedInteresting...I would think that the risk of injury would escalate at some point as the temps decline. Does anyone know if there will be a heat source under the mat? I would think that even if the wrestlers can wrestle for 7 minutes, etc, in say, 30 degree weather...that the mat may be pretty stiff after 20-40 minutes and could be concrete like late in the meet.
Ouch.I hope they only heat the center of the mat. Wouldn't that would be one heck of a home field advantage against the Pokes?
