To the offensive staff and KF

Deacon had come a long way. 19/29
14 of 19 completions to WR's today

Of course none of this is elite, but to shift gears mid-season with all the injuries is a testament to great coaching all around.

Think about it: if you were told we would be playing the last half of the season and our fate would rely on Hill, Ostrenga, Brown, Ortwerth, Pascuzzi on offense what would you have thought?

That they would have scored 15 points and barely won?

The offense is awful, great job finding a way to win though.

That the defense is going to have to be elite in every game, and that the rest of the big ten west is going to have to be pretty trash for Iowa to win it.

The offense is not awful. It is not great but it is not awful. You have to understand matchups and situational football as to why they scored 15 points today, which, much like Rutgers, could have scored more than they did.

Don’t try to explain anything to these haters, they’ve had their simple minds made up for a couple years now.

I'm not a hater and I fully understand situational football. That said the offense did not score 15 points.

Lol. It’s beyond awful. What are you talking about. It’s predictably makes perfection the only way to move the ball.
You don’t need a spread offense to move the ball but for gods sake run your screens and draws properly. Use a trick play at least once a year.
Hire a god damn qb coach that can teach a qb to slide up in the pocket and have a sense of timing. Give your qb the chance to run occasionally.
Does anyone think brown finally figured out the offense the past two weeks or was he never going to move in front of vines?
We have been one of the worst offenses in the country for three years. That’s awful. Not just bad but awful.
A bad offense would run 10-20% more plays a game and keep our defense off the field when we play good teams.
Our best teams have had a qb that goes against the grain and picks up first downs with their feet. Yet Kirk never tries to repeat that recipe. I’m sure he’s concerned with losing his qb but this year should have taught him it doesn’t really matter.
Not awful. Lol.
