Great article on Clark

Great article. Nobody learns on the job like Cory. His improvement last year during the season was outstanding. Every time he ran off the mat after a loss you could could almost see the wheels spinning in his head plotting corrections. He simply does not repeat his mistakes.

Good stuff! Brands even mentioned you don't go get ice cream during clark's matches.

Thanks for posting!

“When you’re a fan, you don’t get up and go get your ice cream during Cory Clark’s match, that’s for dang sure,” Brands said. “I think Cory Clark is right there with the best in the history of this program, he is that good.”

Now I may be mistaken, but that is some pretty awfully high praise for Clark coming from Brands, especially considering he hasn't won a title yet. That says a lot about Cory Clark IMO. Can't wait to see him win it this year.

Agree. Based on Tom's comments over the past 24 hours, it looks to me like NCAAs will have to be won on the backs of the studs we already have. Good to hear the studs are continuing to improve.

Well as long as the studs Gilman, Clark, Sorensen, Meyer, Brooks, and Burak can produce 100ish pts between them I'm fine with that :D that leaves 141/157/165/285 to score another 10-15 pts between them hopefully.

Thanks for the link, Ohio. Great read. Very excited to see Cory dominate this season.

I must say Lax I thought you were going to go on a rant about the quality of ice cream at CHA!

I know some might consider it treason on these boards, but I have never had any of the ice cream at CHA! Although I have heard of its popularity on these boards, I usually don't buy anything concession related when i go to any sporting event.

When Cory was in first grade I instituted a practice at home routine requiring the kids to do push ups every night. I gave them a chart to fill out and put them in teams of 4 to compete against each other. The first report had Cory turning in his sheet with a minimum of 600 push ups a day for the week. Some days he had 800. He won the contest as a one man team. I called his mother on the report and she assured me he did every one of the push ups recorded. He is a worker and was a beast from the beginning.

Religious thing or something?

Wow. I'd have a hard time doing that many pushups now, let alone when I was 6 years old! That explains him being where he's at and me commenting about it on a message board:(
