I'm curious to hear some feedback from those on great guards. Now, I know that we need to have great guards to compete and make deep runs so, here is my ? Was Buddy Hield a great guard? Almost POY winner & Cousins for OU appeared to be pretty good too. They competed well with Kansas but now get destroyed by Nova. Thoughts!!

I'm just trying to hear different views from those who say if the Hawks would have had good guards we woulda/coulda & so on. Imo OU had great guards and were embarrassed. I do understand the 1 game theory it just happens sometimes. But WOW they got trashed big time.
Like other have said, it was one game. Also it was a final four game where every team has talent. Villanova has good guard play as well and probably have the better point guard than OU. Point guard is the position you usually hear Hawk fans begging for and I'm right there with them.
Yes, Buddy was a great guard. I've seen a lot of dumb questions on this board but that might take the cake.
Nova is playing lights out Defense in the tourney and shot over 70% against OU. Nova literally ripped OU's hearts out of their chest. There was nothing OU could do to stop Nova.
Dumb ?....... Obviously you didn't catch my sarcasm. LOL. Of course he is a great guard. Most of this forum was so upset with our guards. And sometimes rightfully so, but my point is Buddy H. is really really good and got destroyed. Worst loss in the tournament EVER!! As Forrest Gump would say "it happens "
I think most just don't really understand your point of even bringing this up. Are you trying to argue that Iowa doesn't need better guards because one great guard's team was blown out in a final four game?
And Carolina's guards went for 21 & 20 in a buzzer beater loss for the National Championship..................
So yeah, give me some great guard play.
