Suburban Chicago high school football players, who are JUNIORS, are always very well known in Eastern Iowa. I'm sure he would be mobbed on the street if he were let outside alone. Maybe wasn't the biggest factor but he definitely didn't hurt the recruitment. They are good friends and played basketball together.

Yeah, I was serious. First off, everyone in my section knew about AJ and was very happy about it. It was the talk before the game. Second, obviously Tyler Cook isn't recruiting for the football team but he and AJ are good friends. I believe he made a comment that he was going to do what he could to get AJ to Iowa after he verbaled. I don't know why you took offense to what I said.
Beings our group of 8 went, all 8 of us know who AJ is. In fact everyone around us was talking about it. The kids a few rows down from us, went looking for AJ to get picture taken with the kid. SO FYI, people do know who AJ is.
I think i read somewhere if he stays committed will be Iowa's TOP recruit in football since Blake Larsen back in the early 90's.
