Grittiest Team

This team is amazing. Given multiple opportunities to fold up, they just keep coming. Very impressive!

Garza another tough gritty game.

Weiskamp another stellar effort.

JT is coming boys. He is becoming a force.

This could be a really special year.
Agreed and like to see it!

Don't know what was said to Luka, but he's gotta be smarter though!

They are gritty and tough. I wouldn't say amazing.

Good. Phukin'. Lord!

Robbie said that in the post game also, that in the past many Iowa teams would have lost this one. Last year's team probably loses this one. But pump the brakes just a bit...

We just have to see if this travels in the Big Ten. NW is the only win we have so far.

This team is a lot of fun to watch. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Iowa teams.

I like this team too. They fight hard and compete.

My biggest thing is tempering fan expectations. Because if Iowa starts to struggle and drops a few games, the same fans pumping up the team as world beaters get ugly in a hurry once the team doesn't live up to their expectations.

Agree. They can't absorb another significant injury. They might fade late wit h the tight rotations.....I just hope they keep fighting.

In the past we were used to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Hopefully those tables have turned for us. What a comeback. Never quit. All those folks who left early should be ashamed....you know who you are and no storm this time.

This was definitely the type of game that in years past, they would have seem to just played out the last 5 minutes and moved on to the next game. It was great to see a comeback like this, especially in a style of game that is normally not to Fran's liking. It's always good to beat Bucky!

Grittiest team......In Decades.

Steve Alford should watch this team to learn toughness.

I feel like this time has the best team chemistry since Alford's '06 team. That team worked and played hard as well. We forget because of how it ended, but that team remains the only team to have an undefeated season at Carver and finished just a game shy of at least sharing the regular season title with OSU - before beating OSU in the conference tournament title game.

I dont know how this team will wrap up the season... but this team has some attitude. Attitude that i have been waiting to see for the better part of a decade.

They certainly don't back down, this is by far my most favorite Fran squad.

I have to imagine they get to a point where they drop 2-3 in a row, it happens to most teams throughout the conference seasons...especially a 20 game conference season. Imagine they are 10-12 wins in the conference...12 would be awesome.

If they beat Illinios Sunday they have a good chance of remaining undefeated @ home (in the Big10). Can they 'steal' a game against Purdue or Minnesota on the road?

I'm drinking the Kool-aid at this point... and it's tasting pretty good.

And you couldn't ask for a much better year for it to happen, with as wide open as college basketball is this season.

I'm almost there with you. They definitely have a championship mentality. No excuses. If they can beat Illinois and win on the road against Maryland, that would convince me.
Could certainly see this team making some noise in the tourney, if they can finish out to a decent seed. Sweet 16 or bust this season.....
