You're just being emotional and spouting common left verbiage now.

There's many things you can assume about the guy just based off of what little we know. Saying he's a gun nut is hardly one of them.

This really isn't that hard of a discussion. But you're following your duty as a person of the sheeple right now.

He used a f'n GUN to solve his problems...that's a f'n gun nut.

FTR, I DON'T assume that people who have large collections of firearms are gun nuts.

Ok now I'm confused. I don't think but the tiniest percentage (.0000001%) of gun owners would consider that self defense. So either your statement is way off base or only .0000001% of gun owners are gun nuts. Which is it?

What if he feared for his life?

This made the news. Shooter must be white and a legal gun owner.

The four year old killed by random gunfire in Chicago doesn't deserve the same empathy apparently.

You clearly dont pay attention to the chicago news, stories about kids killed by guns in chicago make the news all too often.

My dad is a gun nut. He likes to collect shotguns. He has over 20 of them. Oddly, none of them have ever killed a person. Lots of deer and pheasants but never a person. I'm glad he buy guns that are rational and don't kill humans.

I'm curious...what do you guys think qualifies someone as a "gun nut"? My father-in-law had easily 20+ rifles and shotguns with a few pistols thrown in and I wouldn't ever consider him a "gun nut". He wasn't.

I would guess 99% of people that post here and are anti-gun would say your father in law is a gun nut.

But by your definition above, gun nuts (people who try to solve problems with guns) are inner city blacks. Does that fit the narrative?

You realize you just described the entire U.S. Army and Marine Corps right?

Bank robbers who bring a gun to the robbery? Gun nuts.

Every single cop who has ever drawn on a suspect, warranted or not, whether or not they fired a shot - gun nuts since they used a gun to solve their problem.

Anyone who participated on our side in the American Revolution and used arms - a gun nut.

Hell, this country was able to be founded simple because we are gun nuts. The British were also gun nuts. So what did we really accomplish?

What I'm getting at is - this conversation is stupid and your idea of what is and is not a gun nut is stupid.

Ummm...how about someone who pulls up beside another car on the highway and fires multiple rounds into a moving vehicle. I know gun nuts consider that "defending themselves" but the rational amongst the population would call that deranged behavior.

Feel free to "specify otherwise".
Isn't he just a nut? What if he had simply slammed his car into the other and drove it off a cliff? Is he a car nut?
