Gun nut's mom brags about his shooting so she shoots her in the back!

Hate to say it, but she deserves this one. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that 4 year olds and guns are a recipe for disaster.

Hours after gun-rights advocate Jamie Gilt bragged on Facebook that her 4-year-old son “gets jacked up to target shoot,” the same child accidentally turned his mother into a target, shooting her in the back.

"Accidentally? Yeah, go with that" the little tyke was quoted as saying.

Hopefully she will be getting negligence or child endangerment charges. She is not a fit mother.

Would

Also would.

I did find this crazy though

Under Florida law, “it a misdemeanor for a person to store or leave, on a premise under his or her control, a loaded firearm in such a manner that it is likely a child can gain access to the firearm.”

No offense, but if you leave a loaded firearm where a kid can gain access and you are caught doing so, I think your right to own a gun should not exist any longer. A misdemeanor?!?! What bullshit.

That jumped out at me as well. Pretty ridiculous that is only a misdemeanor.

In Texas, it's a misdemeanor if you DON'T leave your loaded firearm in such a manner that a child can gain access to the firearm. Because Mexicans.

I guess everyone has their own threshold of when a Constitutional right should be removed. The woman clearly has shown piss poor judgment. I would be more inclined to let her keep her guns but maybe not the kid.

How does this law define a "child"?

Misdemeanor is probably too light if you're talking about toddlers. I don't think the law should apply at all if you're talking about teenagers.

Good point. Maybe next time he'll actually kill her and then we'll have one less gun nut to worry about leaving loaded firearms around her young children. I know I have my fingers crossed.

Or maybe he'll shoot a gun grabber and make the world a better place. One can dream.
