Fabulous win for the players. KF reverted to some bad habits in this one, but the kids weren't gonna let it get away. These Hawkeyes have big hearts. They earned it today and did it with class. Terrific effort. No doubt #9 loved this one.

Overcame some coaching mistakes, penalties on 3rd down, a late fumble, and some general luckyness by ISU...great road win.

Solid win. Defense looked much better in 2nd half and CJ has some big play ability. Really makes some great throws.

ISU looks improved...struggling to put them away is maybe not as bad as years past.

Great 2nd half. Hope the best for Daniels - kid was averaging 7 yards per rush (on only 8 carries). CJ looked poised and defense was solid without Ott. Still plenty of room for improvement but always good to beat ISU and get a trophy back in the case!

Overcame horrible field position the entire game. ISU played a great game. CJ was the money ball. He got us out of some enormous holes. I like this team. Hope Ott and Daniels are ok.

Absolutely was in the same boat. At half I believe Sam was 15-18 for 180+. 2nd half 4-17 For around 70yds with an int. plus D was rock solid on the run. CJ was the man. That pass on 3 and 21 was a thing of beauty. Also canzeri played rock solid minus the fumble. 124 yds rushing stepped up huge 2nd half

Congrats on a well-deserved victory. The better team won. Beathard had some amazing plays -- no question in my mind that without him, ISU wins today.

My guys are better than last year, especially on defense, but we haven't had a running game in four years and obviously still don't have one. Can't beat good teams without it.

It seems we say this every year they beat us. If they manage to win more than one conference game, I’ll be impressed. Hell, if they manage to beat Toledo next week, I’ll be impressed.
