I see a victory over the Illini on Saturday and with 6 remaining games:

1) 2 probable losses against Wisc and OSU

2) 2 home games against Minn and Purdue-Hawks should be slight favorites

3) 2 road games against NW and Neb- probably slight underdogs or even at best

As I see it best case is 8-4 but more likely 6-6 or 7-5.

Still think Iowa wins one they aren't expected to, and loses one that leaves us scratching our heads.

8-4 sounds about right though. No clue who the losses are and who the wins are. Could pretty much be anyone on the schedule.

I only see 2 or 3 losses. OSU and either Wisc or Ne. Iowa is a sound, physical team.

7-5. The win one they shouldn't was missed with the psu loss. The lose one they shouldn't is still coming.

Who the hell knows. Every season I think I know the team by now and, when I'm certain we're doomed, they run off a bunch of wins, or when I'm thinking "now we got it going" we tank a number of games including one to a basement dweller.

I don't even try to predict anymore. The only thing that's predictable is that most Iowa teams are not predictable.

Losses- OSU and Wisky
Wins- Illinois & Purdue
Toss-ups- Nebraska, Northwestern & Minnesota

8-4 if we win all of the toss ups (2 on the road)
7-5 if we win 2 of 3 toss ups.
6-6 if we win one of the toss ups.

Probably 7-5 which I predicted at the start of the season. Not a very satisfying season unless we win a decent bowl game.

Iowa has a solid team all around. You guys don't beat yourselves very often. Defense is physical and plays fast. Iowa just needs a big play guy on the outside to take the top off of the defense. I respect KF and admire the culture that Iowa has established. Looking forward to watching a great game in Lincoln.

I was thinking same thing. Assuming we beat Illinois going into bye at 4-2 I can easily see us going 4-2 on 2nd half of the season with us upsetting Wisconsin or OSU but dropping a game to jNW, Minny or Nebraska. But with this team and Iowa football in general who who knows.
