Former Michigan State Defensive back standout turned defensive coordinator (I think Iowa has one of those ) is leaving his Alma mater where he was Co-defensive coordinator and associate head coach, to be the defensive coordinator at Florida St. In the article I read he was under contract at MSU for a base salary of $437,434, while the last D Coordinator at FSU was making $858,000. Now Dantonio was able to survive Narduzzi leaving a few years ago so they should be fine. Why I really posted this article, is that the departure happened after early signing perid but before the 2nd signing period. Iowa in the past has been able to take advantage of players decommitting from schools going through coaching changes (ex. Beathard), but now with the early signing period players who might have left if a particular coach was to leave may not be able to if they sign at the early period and the coach leaves afterwards.

I would hope that players signed to an institution, if there is a coaching change are able to get out of their LOI. I think what you saw at Arizona was kind of sketchy.

Waited to fire him after the first signing day and bowl game. Should of been gone long before that.
