I wouldn't worry about which hand he takes a shot with, in 12 or 13 games before Iowa might get a NIT bid, Kris won't hesitate to get as far away from Fran McCaffery as he can.attempt a shot with his right hand?
I thought dribbling with both hands is a double dribble turnover? In my hometown program we were told in elementary school we wouldn't ever play varsity if we couldn't dribble with both hands and hit a left handed layup if right handed and vice versa. They weren't kidding. That doesn't apply at Iowa evidently, lots of players only use their dominant hand regardless of where they are on floor
I read on here Kenyon Murray say he tried to get Kris to use the right hand. Apparently all 3 of them are lefties. Keegan took dad's advice and Kris didn't. I noticed on one drive and layup from the right side, he still used the left hand which made it easier to block (it wasn't tho), whereas using the right hand gets the ball farther from the basket and away from the defender.
Do you mean outside of a layup?I get it when youre young, but hes 22 and still wont even attempt a right handed shot. Pretty crazy
Do you mean outside of a layup?
lolOh you mean the kid that averaged 20+ points a game and was 1st team all big ten?
We had another kid that could only use one hand and drive one direction when he played for Iowa. Guy that led the Big Ten in scoring and assists named Andre Woolridge. Both were all timers here at Iowa. No idea why the hate.
He needed to go dunk that. It epitomized the entire game. Weak. That fast break layup miss was a back breaker and a simple right handed lay in was wide open and he still controted at the last second to use his left hand. Unreal
