not the toughest schedule in the world, but 12-0 is 12-0 is 12-0 and you can only win the games that are on your schedule. You will have enough chances the next 2 games to play some high level competition, but hats off to Ferentz. And thank you again for letting Rudock transfer to Ann Arbor. He was well coached when he arrived and is a great kid.

Weak sauce, try again. Heard Denardo say the easiest of the three that Iowa could play would be Michigan as they're one dimensional. I agree but that won't happen ...meanwhile, MSU and tOSU have been overrated all year. Bring it on. Hawks are better than all three and looking forward to next week. Glad you could use (needed) our backup QB.

Typical scUM fan. Keep taking shots and being jealous. We won all of ours, how did yall do? I bet you think the Big 10 East will blow out Iowa as well.....

taking shots? Simply saying nice season despite the complaints of an easy schedule by others you can only play the games on your schedule. That isn't a shot, it's a statement of fact. Iowa is 12-0 which is a perfect record. Got a problem with that? The schedule was easy (only 3 games vs bowl eligible teams), but that isn't Iowa's fault and you can't apologize for that. As I pointed out, you will have plenty of tough games coming up so nobody can complain then.

weak sauce? You don't like compliments? Was I supposed to say that was the toughest schedule ever devised on the face of the earth? I'm saying great season and you can only win the games you play. As for the Big Ten title game, too many options at this point to worry about particulars but Iowa has a good shot at winning the game against any of the 3 teams though they will likely be a small underdog against any of the 3 possibilities.

And yes, Michigan needed Rudock desperately. Our other options are significantly worse. We are quite thankful for the emergence of Beathard.

The appropriate way to extend a compliment would have been to congratulate Iowa on a 12-0 season, without the qualifier about the schedule. But you couldn't resist.

Your post was a compliment? Then so was mine to you.

Maybe it wasn't intended to be a back handed compliment but it came off as one.

actually I was merely pointing out that you shouldn't have to apologize for it despite it being the prevalent talking point nationally

Sorry. I type fast. Didn't mean anything backhanded. Simply saying hats off to the Hawkeyes and despite the outside complaints about schedule you can only win the games you play.

As mentioned above, that wasn't how it came off. So thanks, again, I think.

Your first comment was "not the toughest schedule in the world." I appreciate the general sentiment, but this was your assessment -- not just a comment on the "outside complaints". That sure looks like a back-handed compliment to me. But no big deal. At least it wasn't an out-and-out unfounded criticism, as Iowa has been hearing from so many in the media for the last month or so.

Harbaugh has done just an incredible job at Michigan...unbelievable actually. When you consider where they were at QB, and the fact that they had to scour the country to find the back up at Iowa, well, it's pretty amazing that it took an Iowa guy to get them where they are today...third place in the East...just an incredible run for Michigan.

I'm just having some fun with the Michigan guy...but I also think he's trolling. See, Michigan fan is a lot like the Nebraska fan, but the delusion just doesn't run as deep. They know they sucked under Hoke.

Thanks! Love your coaches passion for the game. Good luck against Ohio St!

Go Hawks! 12-0

Go big blue! Harbaugh is a great coach. I appreciate what Jake did for Iowa and he is a good young man who will be a great doctor.

Thanks for the compliments. We did have an easier schedule than most years but beat the teams that came before us. I think we have as good a shot as any to beat the east champ.

LOL wow.
Some of you ultra sensitive Hawks fans need to chill.
It did not come off as a backhanded compliment.
Thanks blockm2

Just so happy with the win yesterday. Now we play in the national quarterfinal, err, um, I mean Big 10 championship game. Go Hawks!! You earned the shot at this.

If Iowa wins vs MSU or whomever in B1G title game, then schedule won't matter. At this point, schedule is valid criticism. Hoping Iowa wins in B1G title game and we don't get embarrassed like Wisconsin did last year.

Michigan is doing very well and they are doing it with a guy that was thoroughly seasoned playing for some mediocre Iowa teams. Would have been nice to have him as backup, but the distraction would have also been a negative.
