I'll be in Lincoln Park (Chicago) for the game against the Clones. Ideally, I would like a place within walking distance of where I have a later party (700ish West Wrightwood).
I see the Gaslight on Clark (which looks like an OSU bar?). The OSU game should be over an hour before our game. How is the Gaslight?

What other recommendations does anyone have? Thanks for your help.

Uber to Four Shadows (Ashland/diversy, could probably walk depending on where you’re at). Hands down best Iowa game watch in Chicago. Not sure what Covid has done to it but it was always packed, with great drink specials, awesome halftime raffle and a hilariously awesome DJ/bartender. Sound was always loud enough to hear the commentary with Iowa songs during commercial breaks.

(It’s an Iowa bar)

You should see plenty of bars with Iowa Flags hosting game watches be it on Lincoln, Halsted, Clark or Broadway. Probably more Iowa and Wisky flags on game days than any other BT schools on the North side.

Gaslight is an ok place but I have never watched a game there. I used to live at Clark and Wrightwood in LP and there was a bar right at the intersection (across the street from the 7/11) that had a tiger hawk neon sign in its window. It’s not an official Iowa bar and I’ve never watched a game there but that might be an option if being close is important. Hopefully it has survived Covid. It was never really all that busy though.

wrigleyville is also a good option. There are a couple of Iowa bars right on Clark and like 1.5 - 2miles from where you need to be.

I have also heard good things about the aforementioned Four Shadows but never been to a game there

First, thanks for the responses.
Second, anyone have any updated thoughts after Saturday's game. I would love to be out on a patio.

This is the correct answer.

I don’t think they do the raffle anymore. Some stupid city law/ordinance made them stop. But that was 10 years ago, maybe they brought it back?
