Just spoke to Pella DE Austin Schulte and he picked up an offer from Iowa after attending today's camp.
Schulte plays MLB in high school, so today was his chance to work out at DE with Coach Morgan for the first time. Morgan told him that he did well and showed a lot of athleticism and good learning ability using the different techniques that they taught him.
After the camp, Schulte, his father, and his younger brother met with Coach Ferentz, who was the one that extended the scholarship offer. Schulte said he was shocked and didn't know what to say or think at first, but is very excited about it and feels very blessed.
Right now, he's planning to continue his camp stops, which includes a visit to Iowa State next week, and then decide probably sometime in July.
Schulte really likes Iowa's success at OL and DL and is good friends with high school teammate Garret Jansen, who will be playing for the Hawkeyes, so Iowa will be tough to beat regardless of whether or not he picks up other offers this month.
