Hawks finished 3rd on Ulis

It's quite interesting that he said he would have "ended up in Iowa City if Kentucky hadn't gotten involved" at the time of his commitment. It was also interesting that he said he'd pick the coach who he had the best relationship with, which was neither Cal or Izzo. Whatever.

I thought there were reports that Iowa had become the favorite, before UK got involved. Doesn't really matter, if u don't win.

Strange question in the middle of a room full of reporters asking questions about the final four.

I can't give a "most likely" much serious consideration. More interested in the model of a car in his locker. Suspicious. Who bought him the car?

Look, it's Ulis, he probably DOES drive around in it!

Anyway, it's nice to know that someone, Scott Dochterman, has held onto this Ulis thing far longer than even I. I'm past it.

He can always transfer to Iowa once Calipari brings in the next batch or two of one-and-doners and essentially tosses Ulis aside. Still plenty of time, Tyler!

In recruiting, if you don't finish first, you may as well finish twentieth. And at this point, it just doesn't matter.

It's only "old" if you're not one of the rich ones............................

Kids got talent but it is easy to look good with the team Kentucky has. Really wish fans would get over Ulis. I care about kids that want to be Hawks, period.

Not gonna happen-Ullis may not start but he is always in the game at the end when it's close. He ain't going anywhere.

Bottom line, in college basketball, you aren't going to get ANY of the recruits that certain schools are going after, those schools are usually Duke, KY, MSU, OSU, and some others.

Fran's job is to win with guys those schools didn't want.

That is step 1.

Then MAYBE he can come close establishing step 2, and that is a world where recruits might look at Iowa the same way they do those other schools.

Unfortunately, this will probably never happen.

well, i guess if you don't finish 1st, you might as well finish 3rd, because finishing 2nd does not do you much good, either

oh, well
