I really don't think there's a path there. If ISU doesn't make the final, it'd almost certainly be because they lost to Texas. So then why not move Texas up from 3 to 2 considering they'd be 3-0 vs. ISU? I know the job of the committee is to look big picture, of course, but if you have a few teams like this that are pretty close, I don't see how you could possibly ignore how these respective teams have stacked up against one another. The only possible way would be the highly unlikely event that they both lost their opener.
I think we might match up OK against USC, Henderson looks a lot like Patterson from Kentucky last year, and the couple of games I watched, USC blocks shots if you try to shoot over them, but when the opponent posted up like Monica does, they got (and missed) good shots. I think Caitlin and Monica get their shots, Gabby would be open from 3 for brief periods. Mckenna, Kate, and Kylie would get in trouble if they tried driving in as that plays to their strength on defense. Botston would get her double double and then some. Zia Cooke is very quick. If Iowa rebounds, stays out of foul trouble and makes the shots they usually make (no off nights from either Caitlin or Monica, and Kate/McKenna,/Gabby are making thier threes), they would be in the game with a chance to win.
