Something good for the innards but still with some semblance of taste. Trying to do better than the bbq, pizza and wings I like so much. Any favorites?

It's OK, get it occasionally because it's the only place near my house. Publix (a grocery store in the Deep South, started in FL) has much better subs.Anyone a Subway fan?
Yeah we have a Publix and their subs are fantastic...we also have a Jersey Mikes...I like them but they don't have the selection of veggies Subway does. I know it isn't healthy but Publix and Walmart have the best fried chicken around here. It's OK, get it occasionally because it's the only place near my house. Do y'all have WaWa? We just got it here recently and people rave about it, but I haven't had it yet?
No Quiznos here...when I lived in Louisville, KY used to eat a Blimpie's all the time...pretty good and they load up the veggies. In MS I had Firehouse...great subs but more for the meat lovers.Subway here is terrible. Maybe I have just eaten too much Subway in my life.
I like Blimbie's and Quiznos better.
Is AJ Pickerman's in W/CF still in existence?
Yep...everything is a "Coke" down here. Those would be the hardest thing for me to give up...so I am not going to try.i am no health food expert by any means and have eaten enough fast food and pizza to kill a hog, but the more that a person learns about what is in foods and what is not really food, it makes you really ask questions about what you are eating. i personally have tried to make an effort to eat things that are more natural,(not that natural, you degenerates) in the last few months. my personal biggest hurdle was not drinking pop, soda or coke for you southerners, and in the first few weeks it was a struggle but the craving went away after a few weeks.

I know a lady who lost 50 pounds eating Chipotle for lunch and dinner for 9 months. The key is to get a bowl not a burrito, both kinds of beans instead of rice, and not much cheese.
