SANFORD, Fla. — A man set a trailer on fire in Sanford after another person stole his beer, investigators said.

Investigators said Sylvester Walker torched his neighbor Ronnie Lee's trailer and property in Sanford.

The property is surrounded by a metal wall where Lee said he used to run a scrapyard.

Lee's nephew has been living on the property and watching over it. Investigators said Lee's nephew and Walker got into an argument Thursday because Walker accused him of stealing his beer.

Before that argument, members of the Lee family said a dispute was started involving cinder blocks that were dumped along the street.

According to an arrest report, Walker yelled at Lee's nephew, "I'm going to (expletive) your (expletive) up!"

Lee's nephew left the property, but when he came back, two trailers were in flames. By the time firefighters arrived, the damage was done.

The nephew and another man who lives at the property told Sanford police they saw Walker running away.

Officers were able to track him down by a GPS ankle bracelet he is required to wear because of a previous arrest.

In court Friday, his public defender argued Walker wasn't hiding and there's no proof he set the fire.
