High School conference tourney matches

I am going to post some matches from the finals of CIML and MVC that I think some might be interested in.

Starting with Cade DeVos vs Drew Bennett. DeVos is not just one of the best freshmen in Iowa, he was ranked in the top 25 by InterMat coming into this season. He has bumped between 106-113 due to another nationally ranked stud Kyle Biscoglia also being at his weight/school. DeVos has a real good match with Fort Dodge's Drew Bennett, who might have been a top guy at 106 last year if he wasn't stuck behind Brody Teske and Tristan Lara. (DeVos in Black)

Pretty obvious why I am posting this one, Nelson Brands, son of Iowa coach Terry, defeated Iowa's #2 ranked Clint Lembeck yesterday in the 138 finals. (Lembeck in Silver)

Jackson Gallagher, but he has lost since the last set came out (1/19). With the win over #2 Lembeck he may have a good shot at the top now, but I don't do the rankings.

Maybe a little this year. Last year he he was cutting next to nothing to make 126. He was up at 145 earlier this year and is now at 138 so he might be cutting some.

I agree...he made that jump quick and is now among the elite in Iowa. By his senior year, he should be pretty dominant and ready to roll in black and gold. State championships are great, but leaps in development are even better IMO. Also, looks like he is out there because he wants to be, not because Dad is applying the pressure.
