I agree with everything except your take on the election and the American people. I do not think Hillary s such a great candidate. If elected, she will be elected in spite of her anemic candidate skills. She certainly has the lying part down but is not a very good candidate. They cannot trust her in an adversarial interview or even trust her with honest questions from reporters. She will continue to be driven left by Sanders and those positions will hurt her in the general

She is a liar at Nixon levels Americans dont like her!

Blacks wont vote for her

Rubio will get solid latino numbers

I think you get a lot of people like me who haven't voted republican in a long time who will this time as a vote against Hillary more than a vote to support whoever wins the GOP.

I don't think there's a single "candidate" worthy of being called President of the United States.

But then again, the title doesn't mean what it used to.........

Are you the guy that blames the refs after your team gets their ass handed to them? If Hillary is the President in 2017 it will be because the Republican candidate failed to project a message that appeals to the voters. No more, no less.

I made this prediction several months ago. I doubt the Republicans will nominate a compelling candidate, and I think that Hillary will ride the "first female president" train all the way to the White House.

She will campaign to the left. Sanders won't make her anymore progressive, but she may act the part.

As far as I can tell Rubio doesn't have much for latino support. I suppose you are implying that latinos support latinos because of a sacred skin color bond.

Given the current state of the GOP I doubt anyone will emerge I could vote for. The last seemingly normal one was Huntsman. That being said If Hilary wins the primary and looks to win the national I will be voting Green most likely. If Hilary is going against plutocrat puppet Walker I will be campaigning door to door for Hilary and voting for her. In reality I would be campaigning against Walker.

I the only one I like is Kasich. I just don't see him getting the nomination so I'm sure it will be a hold my nose and vote kind of year.

This is my thinking when it comes to voting out Branstad. The D's haven't had a viable candidate since Vilsack.

Exactly, Swag. The Dems failed to put out a compelling candidate against Branstad, and have pretty much nominated sacrificial lambs against Charles Grassley the last few elections. Are the people of Iowa sheep, or is it the Dems fault for not fielding a better candidate? It's the latter.

What are you basing Rubio's numbers on? He polls even below Jeb when it come to Latino support. As a whole Rubio is disliked by Latinos.

I just don't see any candidate from the GOP who really excites the nation. Bush, Walker, Trump. Really, this is the best they can muster? I'm not a fan of Hillary at all, but I think she beats any one of them. My hope is Bernie passes her and I could see him come out of nowhere like Obama did in 08

If the election were held today, and it's not, Hillary would beat every other candidate.

Allot can happen in the next 15 months; a terrorist strike or several here on American soil; more skeletons from Hillary's past; some other 'black swan' event that wakes America up; the impending debt crisis could strike sooner than later if interest rates and inflation start to creep up; or health care costs continue to skyrocket and more of the true costs of the ACA start to hit Joe Consumers wallet.

Hell, Israel could finally just say, 'screw it' and do a preemptive nuke strike against Iran.

All of these things could 'rock the world' and change the political climate instantly.

actually it's both. No reason to spend the money on a campaign you're not going to win.

I believe this is correct.

So the only hope for Rs is that something bad might happen?

Exactly. Because the GOP has no other options. They have no solutions for jobs, healthcare, or how to repair the middle class. The Republican party hasn't had any ideas in years. They have no choice but to pray for disaster.

If I am a Republican candidate I wouldn't want to be peaking right now anyways, all that becomes is a big old target on the back. Someone will emerge, that's part of the process of vetting a candidate to see if they qualify for the office. LOL at everybody wanting instant gratification from the perfect candidate. Those don't exist, or they shouldn't because, as we have seen, annointing somebody President leads to bad things.

I have a feeling that no matter what idea, what agenda, what proposal, or what solution was put forth, if it comes out of Republicans mouth, to you it would be a bad idea.

If and when the Republican ever come up with any solution beyond, "Let the free market handle it," I will be open to their plans. But until then, I reserve the right to criticize the Republicans for not having anything. The party has been groping around for years without coming up with much. It's getting rather embarrassing.

Take healthcare, for example. Why doesn't the GOP have a plan? They've had the better part of a decade to come up with an alternative. It makes me wonder why we're even paying these guys?

Republican: "Increase the tax rates to the "rich" to 90%"
Huey": "What a terrible proposal. This is typical of the party of the rich bought off by big business. The tax rate should be 100% for the rich because they've earned that money off the backs of the poor"

Can we test this theory?

Sure, if you are willing to lose your life over it. I'm willing to go into the arms hardware business and sell those 1%'s all the firepower legally permissible so they can "challenge" this change.
And now you see the problem with RFRA laws.
